Shaun Lymer has been a Skill Development Coach in the Greater Vancouver Area for seven years. He was lucky enough to play five seasons overseas in Sweden & Germany after a brief stint playing college in the U S before taking time away from the sport for a couple of seasons.
While playing he was fortunate to hove to opportunity to be the Head of Youth Development for two programs one in Sweden and one in Germany.
In between playing he had stints coaching for Burnaby Winter Club's Academy program as well as Vancouver NE Chiefs. He started his coaching career off working specifically in skill development for Josh Bonar with JMB Hockey which has now formed into Hockey House. Over the years he has been lucky enough to work camps all over the province and Minnesota, with many youth athletes from minor hockey to the WHL, NCAA & Professional..
His main focus in coaching is to be able to teach skills that can be translated into game play situations for his athletes. The last few years he has quietly been focusing on shooting development as he believes its a skill that can be missed in teaching. He helped launch on indoor facility in Kelowna two years ago as he was in charge of all curriculum for training. He coached for 10 years at the West Coast Prep camp teaching on ice and running the off ice shooting and skills.
He is excited to offer this particular training to our Bulldog's players and families as he is very passionate about it.
