Haneet is from the North Shore and played two seasons in the JWHL for the Pacific Steelers before five seasons as a forward with the University of British Columbia (UBC). Haneet was able to help UBC capture three Canada West championships in her five-year tenure at UBC, playing a key role in UBC’s first back-to-back Canada West championships in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Haneet has over eight years of experience coaching female and male athletes at the community level and the high-performance level throughout the Greater Vancouver area. She helped coach U15 A for the North Shore Avalanche, U15 A for the Vancouver Angels, and most recently, the PCAHA U13 Elite Team.
Haneet has spent three seasons behind the bench as assistant coach of the UBC Thunderbirds women's hockey team, helping coach the Thunderbirds to another back-to-back Canada West Championship this past year. Haneet was recently named the 2023 National BFL Female Coach of the Year in the High-Performance category.
